here we go

a great start to my blogging debut. Typed a few thousand words or so and lost the whole damn thing. Try again.

Why the hell am I doing this? I'm busy AND lazy...so how much time do I have for something like this? Oh well, your loss, my gain. At least you will get to hear the wonderful stories of my life...yep, no mopey my life sucks teen crap here folks! Aren't you fortunate?

What about me then? Well, I'm from Seattle, and therefore drink tons of extra-dark-strong coffee and bitter, bitter microbrews, buy tons of Microsoft product, listen to tons of grunge (I rhyme!), I hike, bike, swim, boat, ski, and - sing it children - cliiimb every mountain, am very selfish with the shellfish (and ALL fish for that matter), have rain slickers in 12 different colors, and I am a verrry mellow fellow. I am against all reasonable mass transit options and hate all professional sports - at least those teams from here. I am a good Seattleite - I ALWAYS stick to the speed limit and never jaywalk.

I can joke about all of this because I left Seattle for a few years for the east coast, and believe me, I got a whole boatload of ...shall we say ...observations about that neck of the woods. But maybe later. I will say this much... I never ate so much fried food, nor saw so many obese people in my life. Go figure huh?

I hope to add a lot of cool stuff to my blog in the coming year, so keep it tuned to your computer dial. I will close by giving a serious RIP to one of my childhood heroes, Don Adams, also known as Maxwell Smart of the TV show Get Smart. I will post links to various versions of the theme song as soon as I figure out how. Cheers!
